Developed as part of a specialised snow performance project, Glide Soles created removable outsole solutions designed to grip frozen terrain while imprinting the Porsche logo across the snow-covered slopes of the FAT Ice Race in Montana.

The Porsche FAT Ice Race project reflected the same philosophy behind Glide Soles today:

Originally developed as a limited handcrafted run for Porsche, the project explored how removable outsole systems could transition footwear across snow, ice, and extreme terrain while preserving the identity of the protected shoe with.

Produced as a limited handcrafted run of 30 pairs.

Built using matte black steel traction cleats mounted onto a Glide Rubber™ chassis, the project combined extreme-environment grip with removable performance footwear engineering.
